Lyle is a quiet, leave-me-alone sort of guy. He's never had many friends, and he's fine with that. A book is better company anyway. He doesn't have much patience for other people, and certain things (*cough* bad grammar *cough*) are known to set him off even quicker than normal. Other than that he's generally a pretty cool-headed individual, it takes a lot to get under his skin and he's generally fine just going with the flow as long as it keeps the peace. Heaven help if you should wind up under his microscope though, he doesn't hold back on the sick burns. Which he can deliver quite hilariously, he's got a surprisingly sharp sense of humor. He's very smart and excells at school work especilly in English and Math, which are his favorite subjects. He takes his school work, and a lot of other things, seriously. It will take a bit of coaxing to get him to partake in any nonesense. Although, sometimes in the process of taking things seriously he can come off rather ridiculous but y'know.

History:

Lyle hails from Sinnoh with his mother and two older sisters Meredith and Tiffany. Their father left them when he was really small, and it left things hard for the family. She did her best to raise them, and made sure they grew up strong and well rounded machops. Battle training was a must if they were to become suffeciently ripped. Their mom worked a lot so it often fell on Meredith to look after her younger siblings. Her and Tiffany were close in age, and tended to leave Lyle out of things. So he would usually find other things to keep himself busy, and once he learned to read a clear favorite made itself known. Unfortuately this peace wasn't kept long. His sisters becamse rather pesky, often playing pranks on him or otherwise being obnoxious because he was little. And as time went on and their living space became more cramped, he grew to dislike them. 

He did very well in school, but he was never one to be surrounded by friends. Which was fine by him honestly. He had trouble with bullies when he was little, his mother's advice was to beat them up. So he did. No one really messed with him after that. He even got to skip a grade which he thought was pretty rad, since he was pretty bored in his current grade. Lyle's mother, while very tough love, was always encouraging of his skills. She even brought him to a schools farther away from home, since she'd heard they were better than the ones in their town. This town was more wealthy than the one they came from and it threw Lyle for a loop, and although he kinda pretended it didn't matter, he did begin to worry about standing out too much. He wanted to be left alone. Luckily his three female faily member were more then happy to help him become a pro thrift shopper.

He knew he had to study harder than ever to get scholarships for pokemon college and such. He took on some pretty advanced classes in  high school, some of them a little off the beaten path. He was looking forward to it. Until he learned he would have to purchase some of his own books. Some of them were rather pricey and not something his family could afford, so he didn't want to ask. It put him in an akward position. All the other kids had the books. A month into school, and the teacher was getting frustrated with him, and no longer willing to buy his "the order must be taking a while to come in.." story. He could have asked for some school assistance, but as much as he didn't want to admit it, that would have embarrased him too much. He took matters into his own hands. At a library he found the required readings and tried to nab them. He would have gotten away too had he not been seed bombed by the ginger nuzleaf librarian.

He was able to get off with a fine. Which was bad news for his family, his mom was furious. She couldn't beleive he would do something so stupid. It was rough for him at school, word spread pretty quick about his petty crime. He was baraged with questions and side glances from the curious. Upon arriving home the toll was obvious. His mother began to think that maybe she had pushed him a little too hard, and maybe he needed a fresh start. They got a letter in the mail about receiving a free scholarship to this private, island school ran by a man named Zero and the offer sounded too good to pass up.

-Comes from a poor family, can't even afford a book bag. Tends to stuff his smaller books around the rim of his pants if he can't carry them all.

-Is hesitant to evolve (doesn't want to sacrifice his tail to muscle satan or w/e happens to it)

-Gets very frustrated at people who missuse books and grammar

-Can be a little competitive, especially in class. 

-Despite his nerdy tendencies, he's actually very well off physically and enjoys that aspect of school just as much.
